Girls Who Code

Girls Who Code is a nonprofit organization that aims to support and increase the number of women in computer science by equipping young women with the necessary computing skills to pursue 21st-century opportunities.

Project Highlights

  • I supported the video, photoshoot, and merchandise for Girls Who Code’s global digital march, amplifying the voices of young activists. Working alongside a high-profile coalition of Gen Z changemakers, I helped bring the creative vision to life across digital platforms. The campaign generated over 500 million views on TikTok alone and positioned GWC as a leader in digital-first activism.

  • Supporting the launch of Reshma Saujani’s Brave Not Perfect content network, I supported content strategy, newsletters, and audience segmentation. I increased web traffic to 30K+ monthly users within the first 10 months and helped grow an active community through weekly emails, webinars, and podcast promotions. The work helped translate a best-selling book into an evolving, impact-driven media platform.

  • At the start of the pandemic, I helped Girls Who Code pivot to a digital-first strategy by co-developing the web experience for GWC At Home. Working with our product manager, in-house designer, and engineering team, I supported the content strategy that drove a 1,150% spike in traffic and maintained a 20%+ CVR. It became a key pillar of our remote engagement during lockdown. And we did it all in under 3 weeks!

  • To improve email performance, I led a seven-month cross-functional roadmap focused on design, segmentation, and messaging. I used Google Analytics and Campaign Monitor to uncover key drop-off points, then worked with our brand agency to overhaul the experience. The result: a 376% increase in conversion rate and a deeper understanding of our user journeys.
